This is a step by step guide on how to configure your JAALEE BT-Gateway to send packets via HTTP(S) requests to uBeac Hook.

A Caveat – You will need an Apple IoS Phone or Tablet to configure your Gateway. We successfully downloaded JAALEE’s ebeacon application on Android, but the BT-Gateway will NOT show up on an Android device.

  1. Refer to our “Get Your UBEAC Endpoint Guide” to begin:
  2. Find a Paper Clip.
  3. Download the eBeacon application in the App Store.
  4. Plug in your JAALEE BT-Gateway using the supplied USB Cable and flip the device over to find a small hole within which is a reset botton
  5. Insert the end of your paperclip into the hole and perform a long press for 3 seconds. The light on your BT-Gateway should turn yellow (ours, however, turned blue- still worked). You will then have 45 seconds to begin the configuration process using the application on your phone.
  6. Within the eBeacon app, scan for nearby Bluetooth devices and click on the BT-Gateway icon in the bottom menu.
  7. Click on the BT-Gateway name to be directed to a new menu.
  8. Click on “WIFI Conn”.
  9. Populate the SSID field with the name of your WiFi network.
  10. Populate the Password field with your WiFi password.
  11. Click “Configure” and return to the previous menu.
  12. Click on “Server Configure”.
  13. Populate the Server/Host IP with
  14. Populate the Request Path with /YOURKEY
  15. Populate the Request Port field with 80.
  16. Click “Configure”
  17. You must exit the application before the changes will take effect.
  18. Return to your UBEAC URL and observe the redirected data.
  19. Each POST is expandable by clicking on the Green “Post” button.
